Martin Buckley had his first book published in 1986 when he was twenty and has authored titles at regular intervals ever since for Haynes, MBI, Carlton and several other publishers. His Classic Car Encyclopaedias have proved popular: Martin has just updated a new edition of The Encyclopaedia of Classic Cars: A Celebration of Motor Cars from 1945 1975 which he wrote in 1996 for Anness Publishing which has been revived under a variety of titles and cover designs almost every year since. Other titles include Jaguar 50 Years of Speed and Style (now in its fourth reprint) Essential Fiat 124 Spider and Coupe, Cars, Stars and Infamy, Cars of the Super Rich, Cars in Films, BMW Classic Six-Cylinder Coupes (a rarity now valued at between £50 and £90 on Amazon ). His most recent work is the definitive book on Facel Vega: Facel Vega Grande Luxe Sportif for Palawan Press. He has two titles in progress at the moment on Maserati and Mercedes.
